Bridge Building Filming Surprise

Hello BEngers

What a hectic filming day for the BEngers. Some groups managed to wrapped up most of the main scenes & some needed stuntmen to replace the dangerous acts. This made quite a scene with one of the groups weren't quite happy with the stuntdoubles. Anyway, kudos to everybody for their amazing effort.

Unfortunately, Amitabh Belachan were unable to attend the day due to the misunderstanding with the 'Who Wants To Be A Pencacai Tua Angkat Najis' management. Apologies to the fans that came for him but thank god for the free cake distributed from the birthday surprise.That was a relief and thanks to the organizers. All in all, everybody did a great job and everybody turned from BEngers to Bangas.

The filming of Bridge Building Sketch Show will be on Saturday 25th April (AM). Come & see your favourite actors & actresses on the set and you'll never know you might be the lucky ones to get the hot & freshly soaked autographed coveralls from your very own superstars. Amitabh Belachan might also attend the meet the fans session and sneak preview of the pilot. Be the first to get his autograph and please bring your own pen. (Pens are sold on the set for $50 each).

Bridge Building

There will be no Survey lecture this Saturday so the whole morning (0800-1200 hrs) will be for our bridge building session... Yaaay!!! It is strongly advised that no sexy clothing & heels are allowed during the session to prevent any injuries and causing other groups to lag behind due to the lack of concentration amongs themselves in doing their work. Refreshments will be provided by the company that made the Spectacle Cikgu Rokiah & Suaminya. The first to finish the bridge will win a limited edition signed LJ President Poster.

Btw, don't forget to bring your tools and lots of water cos according to the LJ weather forecast, it will be super hot and u'll be sweating like a pig, and yes be prepared for BO's...

Thursday's Lecture & Practical Updates

A slight change for this thursday's timetable. There will be no Mechanics of Solid & Structure lecture. Period 1 & 2 will be replace with Survey lecture by Dr Sufri @ 0830hrs and with that we will be doing Engineering Design practical the whole afternoon. One of the main reasons of this change is as a precaution there will be no casualties from Post-morning-practical BO's, if we were to do the practical in the morning. Other reasons are obviously personal.

By the way, apologies to the winners of yesterday's practical best dress for female & male. The organizer had to cancel the free tickets due to the ceasefire crisis now happening in the land of LJ. Winner will be notified for the alternative equivalent prizes. Furthermore, due to massive humidity at the lab, everybody's hair gone bananas so no winners for the best hairdo, the prize will be carried forward to the next competition. Spectacle cap Cikgu Rokiah & Suaminya is really awesome!

Construction Materials Timetable

Lecture

Just to remind u guys, Monday's Mechanics of Solids & Structure class will be replaced by Construction Materials lecture by Dr Saiful, period 1 & 2 @ 0800hrs. Wednesday SCP will be taken also for lecture.

Practical

Group A2 will be doing their concrete practice on Monday during period 3 & 4 after the break. Group B2 will be doing the same thing same time the next day. Demoulding will be the day after the practical. Please wear appropriate attire. The best dress for male & female will win a trip for 2 to the ever famous land of the LJ. The best hairdo will win a gift voucher for Spectacle Cap Cikgu Rokiah & Suaminya. So dont miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Updates!

Sorry guys, its been a while, without any updates for you bengers bcos of the neverending assignments & tests given by our lovely lecturers. Yesterday was a bit hectic with the bridge building thingy cos some were not prepared with their gadgets & stuffs, but it was fun for just a short period of time.

.

For next week, practical sheets were given out yesterday for Construction Materials so make sure you know which group u r in cos 1 groups will start the practical 2molo and d other 1 on tuesday. The demoulding will be done d following day. As for the hardened concrete practical, dates are to be confirmed.

.

Please be reminded that appropriate attire is compulsory or otherwise u will not be allowed to do the practical. It is recommended that u wear coveralls cos it might be a bit messy n dirty for some people. Furthermore, it is also noted that hair should not be loose, so u should go n do ur hair at the nearest salon prior to the practical cos picture will be taken n loose hair is a no no unless uve done ur steaming & rebonding recently.
