Re: Bridge Testing

Hello Geng!

What a disappointing day for the supposedly bridge testing day because it turned to be the "meyer-ing your bridge day" only. Most of the gang felt sorry for the ones that were fasting from the day before and furthermore, there was no "Penyungkaian" that was supposed to be provided.

However, the LJ Community Services (LJCS) would like to give away Ameenah Areef (Twothong Branch) dine-in vouchers to these poor people. All you have to do is just sign in your name and phone number to the nearest LJCS office and they would be happy to serve and give you the vouchers to this amazing eatery. For this month, they are having free deep fried insects which you can request them to be mixed with your favourite food. Fantastic!

By the way, don't forget to come early tomorrow for the real bridge testing @ 0830hrs.

Thats all for now, BYE!

Bridge Testing

Hello BEngers!

Just to inform you guys our bridge testing will be on Wednesday 17th June 2009. Everybody should be present at the lab @ 1030hrs. Please wear appropriate clothing and preferably lightweight to prevent early "COLLAPSION" of the bridge before reaching the ultimate limit. Fasting a day before will help to lower down the live load that will contribute to the overall weight. For those who planned to fast, "Penyungkaian" will be provided by Lina & Nordin after the bridge testing.

Thats all for now

# Please contact Lina & Nordin for more info on the food. Kelip kelip!

RE: EXAM IS OVER! (Revision Week)

Hello again!

Thinking back to the exam that just ended last week, it was a very stressful time for everybody for which some had claimed not having enough time for their revision. The revision week was merely enough to recap the units from the very beginning of the semester but everybody had gone through many refinements to every units to high level of understanding.

The BEngers would like to thank all the lecturers for constantly improving our understandings, coping with our grammar, and suggesting outstanding improvements, our families and friends for their continual support, encouragement and feedback and most of all our GOD for guidance on how the brain works and giving us strength to endure sleepless nights, away from our beloved families most of the time and keeping us nonchalant through the exam days.

To fill in the missing gap from the post before the exam till today, the revision was all in all a fun week for everybody despite the ranting and ungratefulness of 'not sufficient notes given for revision', where you should have better known better to do research for yourself in the library or the like. Some stayed up all night researching through the internet along with facebook and all. Some slept in the early night then woke up just before dawn to do revision. Some even slept in the middle of revision with friends to pay off the stressful sleepless nights with wierd dreams of having chocolates (aka chocolate last semester), polvoron, wanting to become a pirate, etc. Here are some of the pictures to clarify the wierdness.
.
Shall i have the Hazelnut 1st or the Top Deck...mmm?
Or perhaps the Peppermint?
Polvorons... Yum... Is this even halal cos it says PINIPIG?
I'm Mrs Sparrow... hahaha!
Y am i thinking rubbish?
I just love to sleep....

Thats all for now, till next post hehehe...

EXAM IS OVER!

Hello BEngers!

Its been a while since the last post. Thanks to the neverending work and test given, up to the few days of our revision week, by our lovely lecturers. This 2nd semester was a bit tough than the last one in terms of time management. Most of us was near struggling with the overlapping work and tests. It had come to a point that it was not fair to all of us not to be able to manage our time with assignments, tests, family and revisions. Some was not happy with the few days of the revision week taken for lectures and test because a day or two is really precious for revision and making appointments with lecturers for any doubts on the units. Unfortunately there was nothing that can be done because thats how it was, is and will be done in here.

Now, the exam is over but we can only say half a yaaay because its not all over yet. Three quarter of the group will be doing their survey camp in Tasek Merimbun as a requirement for the course. The other quarter had done the camp during their HND course. Not to forget, the Bridge testing will be on the 16th/17th June together with the submission of the report.

To those doing the survey camp, good luck guys and please be patient with the heat, peer pressure and the sourness of everybodys BOs. After all, its all for your own benefits and have fun!
.
To be continued...
