RAMADHAN

Salam BEngers!

Ramadhan is finally here guys and its fasting time. The fasting during Ramadhan is regarded as a method of self purification. It is a time for spiritual contemplation, test your patience and to contain the nafsu b***. (censored to minimized fasting pahala depletion)

So guys, no more time-consuming-where-to-eat decision to make at lunchtime and the good thing is that you can save your lunch money to buy the must-have books which are now being distributed at the Phase 1 Building conference room. Some people still thinking of buying them and some perhaps still not sure of the importance of having such books. Anyway, it is noted that it is compulsory to have them and they are on first come first serve basis.

Furthermore, there will be a slight change on our academic timetable during this holy month. Each period is 10 minutes short so everthing will be finished at 1450hrs (a bit odd don't you think).

Last but not least, the BEng8 management would like to wish everybody Happy Fasting and beg forgiveness for any mistakes, inconvenience and to those who perhaps hurt along the way.

That's all for now, bye!

Welcome To 2nd Year!

Hello BEngers, newcomers & oldcomers!

Holiday is over guys! 2nd year begins and our journey continues, even closer to the LJ so it is time to work a bit harder people... Otherwise you gonna be stuck in the circle of LJ forever.

This 1st half of the year, we gonna be seeing few lecturers only and there will be no exam except for Geology in November. And again, we have to attend communication lectures as in the 1st year, which was a bit scary for some people, not that the lecturer was the 'Chaba' but he was very hard to please and not that generous with grading. Fortunately this time, the job is taken over by the new Dr and it is more to report writing and interviews, and somehow fun.

Structures is a lot tougher than in the previous year and we should be working our ass off with this one because this is the ever-famous 'students failing agent' of the course. Furthermore, be sure to be prepared with answers before being questioned by the most ear-poking-very-crystal-clear-and-scolding-like voiced lecturer. Hes a walking microphone, with 2 subwoofers tagging along. He sure does look and sound scary but luckily for the ones who are shy (or rather scare) to ask questions during the lecture, they are most welcome to his office and he can help you to overcome your shyness.

Lastly, after series of not so nice reviews, our mayering Dr has toned down a bit and for the 1st time in years, he deliberately giving wide smiles during lecture. How on earth that happened? Oh well good for him, and us to in a way.

Anyway, thats all for now!

Good Luck BEnger!
